Unveiling our unique collection

Our Cuban film posters stand apart from any other collection you might encounter. We proudly present a unique assortment, primarily signed by the renowned artist Antonio Reboiro. These posters were famously smuggled into the U.S. via diplomatic pouch in the mid-1980s, and we acquired this entire collection directly from the artist himself. Each poster tells a story, not only of Cuban cinema but also of a fascinating moment in history, making them truly one-of-a-kind art pieces for discerning collectors.

For the passionate collector

Who will be most excited by these extraordinary Cuban film posters? This collection resonates deeply with Cuban individuals and Cuban expatriates, who find a piece of their heritage within these vibrant designs. Historians will appreciate the cultural and political context embedded in each artwork. Progressive liberal operatives will find the themes and artistry compelling, while aficionados of brilliant and colorful graphic design will be captivated by the artistic mastery. These posters are more than just art; they are a connection to culture, history, and exceptional design.

The journey of a collection

The story behind the acquisition of this remarkable collection is as captivating as the posters themselves. Artist Antonio Reboiro became aware of my father's gallery, Poster America, in NYC. He ingeniously arranged for his original collection of pencil-signed silkscreen posters, alongside a selection of works by other ICAIC artists, to be delivered. This was achieved over several trips, via diplomatic pouch, to the Cuban Consulate in NYC, and ultimately, to my father's gallery. This extraordinary effort ensured that these priceless pieces of Cuban art found their way to enthusiasts and collectors.
